(My adaptation of Real Simple recipe, considering that each serving is a ladle, so what I will usually eat for dinner means two servings, two ladles, or 1/11th of the recipe.)

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey and Bean Chili

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 1/4 pound lean ground turkey
6 tablespoon tomato paste
2 teaspoon ground cumin
4 teaspoons chili powder
56 oz canned diced tomatoes
60 oz Beans, Kidney, Red, Mature Seeds, Canned

Recipe Directions for Turkey and Bean Chili

  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, 4 to 6 minutes.

  2. Add the turkey and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until no longer pink, 3 to 5 minutes more. Stir in the tomato paste, cumin, and chili pepper and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

  3. Add the tomatoes (with their juices), the beans, cup water, 1 teaspoons salt, and teaspoon pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, 12 to 15 minutes.

  4. Serve with sour cream and cilantro (not included in the stated calories).
