Slimmed down version of the classic.

Recipe Ingredients for Turkey Baked Ziti

1 lb ground turkey
16 oz whole wheat pasta
2 cup,+chopped+or+sliced tomatoes
1/2 cup reduced fat mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup eggbeaters
14 oz spaghetti sauce
1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup fat free ricotta

Recipe Directions for Turkey Baked Ziti

  1. cook pasta as directed

  2. brown turkey and drain off fat

  3. add salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic, etc.

  4. add spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes

  5. in another bowl, mix ricotta, 1/4 c mozzarella, parmesan and eggbeaters, Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Mix the meat, sauce and cheeses in with the pasta, place in a prepared 9 X 13 pan and top with 1/4 c mozarella. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, uncover and bake an additional 5-7 minutes till golden brown.

  7. Enjoy!
