Recipe Ingredients for Turkey ala King

3/4 lb cooked turkey, meat only, cubed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small onion, coarsely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup canned mushrooms, drained
2 tbsp canola oil
1/2 cup 2% milk
3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/2 tsp black pepper
6 oz macaroni, enriched

Recipe Directions for Turkey ala King

  1. Prepare all ingredients before starting to cook.

  2. Prepare macaroni (or the equivilent amount of any other type of pasta) according to package directions, drain and keep hot.

  3. Saute onions and garlic in oil until onions become translucent.

  4. Add mushrooms, mushroom soup, milk and pepper; bring to a boil over medium high heat.

  5. Stir in turkey and peas; continue to cook until turkey is heated through.

  6. Serve turkey mixture over prepared pasta.
