Filipino quick tuna meal. Cooked and served over steamed white rice and seasoned with soy sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Tuna viand

24 oz tuna
1 tbsp olive oil
4 large eggs

Recipe Directions for Tuna viand

  1. Drain 3 of the 4 cans of tuna and place tuna from all 4 cans in frying pan.

  2. Scramble eggs and combine with tuna, mix thoroughly.

  3. Cook in the olive oil on medium-medium high heat until mixture appears homogeneous and flaky. Be careful not to cook too long, it will dry the tuna too much. Mixture will be moist from the tuna, but shouldn't be slimy because of uncooked eggs.

  4. Place on cooked rice (This food on top of the rice is called "ulam" in Tagalog; the English translation is "viand" meaning article of food), and season to taste with soy sauce.
