Recipe Ingredients for Tuna Pasta Bake

100 g spaghetti
25 g olive oil
3 tbls flour
300 ml low fat milk
198 g canned tuna, drained and flaked
100 g low fat Cheddar cheese, grated
1 salt and pepper
25 g potato chips, crushed

Recipe Directions for Tuna Pasta Bake

  1. Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until tender.

  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes, then gradually stir in the milk. Bring to the boil and simmer, stirring, until thickened.

  3. Drain the spaghetti and fold into the sauce with the tuna, cheese, salt and pepper.

  4. Turn into a 1.2 litre baking dish and sprinkle the crisps on top.

  5. Bake in a preheated moderate oven 180C (350F) Gas Mark 4 for 20 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  6. Serve with a lettuce and tomato salad.
