This is a very basic recipe that easy to change to suit your needs (i.e. lower sodium). My husband & kids love it! You can also add veggies or really anything you want to it. My husband doesn't like peas, but sometimes I add them to about half of it for the girls & I.

Recipe Ingredients for Tuna Noodle Casserole

340 g wheat egg noddles
305 g 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c 1% milk
113 g mushrooms
284 g tuna in water
113 g reduced fat cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Tuna Noodle Casserole

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Cook noodles as directed to al dente. They will cook a little more in the oven. Drain noodles.

  3. Add the can of soup, milk, drained mushrooms & tuna to the cooked noodles. I also grind in some pepper, and unless using low sodium/no added salt products, I usually do not add salt. . Pour into a 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle with about 1/2 c of cheese.

  4. Bake about 20 minutes until hot, bubbly, and cheese is melted.
