Lovely creamy tuna mornay without the cream

Recipe Ingredients for Tuna Mornay

850 g tuna in brine
2 cups skim milk
2 cups cream of mushroom soup
2 teaspoons light margarine
1 tablespoon plain flour
1 small diced onion
1 teaspoon chicken stock powder
1/2 teaspoon tarragon

Recipe Directions for Tuna Mornay

  1. Make sure you use diet mushroom cup a soup

  2. Microwave onion in a little water on high for 5 minutes

  3. Melt margarine in medium sized saucepan, add flour, mix well.

  4. Gradually beat in milk (use whisk to avoid lumps) until white sauce is made.

  5. Add soup, stock powder and mix well

  6. Stir in tuna, onion and tarragon.

  7. Bring to boil, simmer for 5 minutes.

  8. Serve with boiled rice.
