Hot tuna subs on Whole Wheat buns.

Recipe Ingredients for Tuna Melts

2 can Tuna, White, Canned In Water
1 3/10 oz Real Mayonnaise
6 tsp Classic Dijon Mustard
1 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1/4 cup, chopped Onions
1/2 lemon yields Lemon Juice
1 large hard boiled Egg, chopped
1/2 tsp Pepper, Black
4 bun Wheat Hot Dog Buns
4 oz Medium Cheddar Cheese, Sliced
2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe

Recipe Directions for Tuna Melts

  1. Mix lemon juice, mayonaise, dijon, minced onion and celery in bowl.

  2. Stir in pepper and tuna fish.

  3. Divide tuna mixture between 4 rolls, put slice of tomato and cheese slice on top of tuna.

  4. Broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese melts and is bubbly. Turn off broiler and let the sandwiches warm for 5 minutes in oven. Serve immediately.
