Yummy way to enjoy tuna fish for breakfast! Try to cut back on the sodium though by using fresh, flavorful herbs.

Recipe Ingredients for Tuna Cakes

4 cans tuna
1/2 bell pepper
1/2 onion
1/2 cup italian breadcrumbs
1/2 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup lime juice
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp seasoning salt
1 scallion
2 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Tuna Cakes

Mix all ingredients except flour and breadcrumbs. Add breadcrumbs; mix thoroughly. Add flour; mix thoroughly. Cool for 10-15 minutes in fridge. Drop tablespoon sized amounts into hot vegetable oil. Allow tuna cakes to brown on both sides WITH frying pan covered (to cook inside of cakes). After browning, place on napkin to remove excess oil. Have with grits or toast! Enjoy!
