Makes 81 servings



Choc Italian cookie with filberts (toast in oven first then chop)...calc at 81 cookies...made about 1/2 T each

Recipe Ingredients for Tu Tu

3 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
12 T butter
1 egg
1 cup cocoa powder
6 oz Filberts
3/4 cup skim milk
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder

Recipe Directions for Tu Tu

  1. Cream butter, sugar, cocoa, add 1 t vanilla, add egg

  2. Add 1 1/2-2 t cinnamon, 1 1/2-2 t ground cloves, little salt

  3. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk...you need to knead on counter to work it all in

  4. Knead in nuts..don't have too many larger pieces

  5. Bake on parchment

  6. 350 for 9 minutes

  7. You can frost with thin royal icing for add'l calories!

  8. In 12/11 I frosted just the tops for an add'l 8 cal each
