Great for bread or bakery fillings or sweet bean dessert etc. Add more sugar if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Tsubu-an (Chunky Adzuki Bean Paste)

1 cup adzuki bean
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
3 cups water

Recipe Directions for Tsubu-an (Chunky Adzuki Bean Paste)

  1. Soak beans overnight.

  2. Boil beans and simmer in medium heat for 10min.

  3. Drain.

  4. Add the water, salt and sugar.

  5. Boil in pot and bring to low simmer for about an hour or completely cooked and falling apart.

  6. Mash roughly for a chunky adzuki bean paste.
