Recipe Ingredients for Triple Fruit Scones

27 grams 37% Light Buttery Spread
1/4 cup Dried Cherries
1/4 cup Golden Raisins
30 grams Craisins, Sweetened Dried Cranberries
1/2 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
1/2 tsp Vinegar distilled
82 grams Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
18 grams Flax Seeds
50 grams Water
10 grams SPLENDA Sugar Blend for Baking
147 grams Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
144 grams Rogers All Purpose Flour
4 grams Baking Soda
2 grams Salt, Table
55 grams Butter

Recipe Directions for Triple Fruit Scones

  1. Combine flours, ground oats, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Cut in smart balance and butter.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine ground flax and water and let stand a few minutes. Same for the milk and vinegar. Combine the two liquids with 1t almond extract and 1t orange zest.

  3. Stir fruit into flour mixture. Add liquids and stir until combined.

  4. Turn out on floured board and pat into a circle. Cut out rounds with a 2 inch biscuit cutter. Reform until all the dough is used.

  5. Freeze or bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
