Basic chili recipe starting with the trinity vegetables

Recipe Ingredients for Tricia's chili

1 pound lean ground beef
2 stalks of celery
1/2 onion
1/2 green pepper
28 ounce tomato sauce
15 ounce chili beans
15 ounce can black beans
2 tablespoons chili seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe Directions for Tricia's chili

  1. dice celery, onion and green pepper

  2. saute in pan in light coating of olive oil until onion is translucent

  3. add to slow cooker

  4. brown ground beef and season with chili packet

  5. add to slow cooker along with remaining ingredients

  6. heat for a minimum of 4 hours
