Recipe Ingredients for Treacle Pudding

8 oz potatoes, boiled and seived
4 oz self raising flour
2 oz white breadcrumbs
3 oz shredded suet
4 oz sultanas
3 tbs black treacle
2 oz caster sugar
1 tbsp milk

Recipe Directions for Treacle Pudding

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together very thoroughly.

  2. Turn into a greased pudding basin.

  3. Cover with greaseproof paper. Tie a pudding cloth or aluminium foil over the paper and steam the pudding for two hours.

  4. Serve hot with whipped cream or custard as an accompaniment.
