Great receipe for snack. To make individually for kids, let them pick out the fruit they like. You can even add mini M&M's or other surprises. Have fun with it.

Recipe Ingredients for Trail mix, cereal or add to yogurt

5 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup soy flour
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup pecan pieces
1 cup sesame seed
1 cup non-fat dry milk (powdered)
1 cup light olive oil
1 cup honey
1 cup coconut

Recipe Directions for Trail mix, cereal or add to yogurt

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together, then add the oiive oil first, then the honey. Easier to get the honey out this way. Mix all indredients together (I have to use my hands...they're clean).

  2. Then put all the dry ingredients in a large baking pan. It has to cook/bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees and you need to watch it so it doesn't burn. Of course, just watching won't help, you'll need to stir it. It's easier for me to stir if I split the batch.

  3. After it cooks, I also add dried fruit, golden raisens, craisens, dates, dried apricots, or whatever you like most. I also keep it in the refrigerator or freezer. It really makes a lot. I put up three gallon bags and a couple of the quart size.
