Recipe Ingredients for Traditional Wiener Schnitzel

0.72 lbs boneless pork chops, pounded to a thickness of about 1/4 inch
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
2 eggs, whisked with 1 tbsp. of water
1 cup bread crumbs, plain, fine
1 tbsp. sunflower oil
1 Salt to taste
1 Pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Traditional Wiener Schnitzel

  1. Dredge the chops in flour, dip in the egg wash and lightly bread both sides in the crumbs. Heat the oil in a large skillet.

  2. Fry the cutlets in the sunflower oil over medium heat, allowing each side to reach a golden brown.

  3. Plate the schnitzels and, while still bubbling hot, season with salt and pepper.

  4. Serve with German potato salad or french fries.
