A very healthy and light snack, appetizer, and side dish. very healthy, Good points include ,very low in saturated fat, no cholesterol, low sugar, dietary fiber, iron, magnesium, niacin very high in potassium, high in vitamin C. Bad points low in vitamins and minerals and high sodium

Recipe Ingredients for Totops y salsa

2 pinches of salt
16 fresh tomatillos
4 tbs of fresh cilantro
5 cloves of garlic
4 jalapeno peppers

Recipe Directions for Totops y salsa

  1. The first step is to steam peel the 16 tomatillos, by boiling them in water and separating them from the skin, but keep them whole

  2. wash and cut your other ingredients such as the jalapenos and the cilantro up.

  3. then you must put the whole tomatillos cut up jalapenos and finely chopped fresh cilantro into a blender set on your lowest setting and blend until the preferred consistency.

  4. The ingredients above are to serve 30 people. This shgould be served as a side dish with chips and compliments guacamole well. Salsa is best served in individual bowls for each person.
