The serving size listed is for half the recipe. The grams listed are not accurate. I ate half the batch and it weighed 10oz. Probably because with the veggies cooked there was less water weight.

Recipe Ingredients for Tonight's sausage & peppers (aug 6, 2009)

6 oz pepper
200 g sausage
2 1/2 oz onion
1/2 tbsp olive oil
12 oz plum tomatoes
1 tablespoon flax seed
2 oz black olive

Recipe Directions for Tonight's sausage & peppers (aug 6, 2009)

  1. Pierce the sausage and boil in water first to render some of the fat and to be sure it is cooked to the center before stir frying.

  2. Stir fry sausage first till brown.

  3. Stir fry the rest of the veggies except the tomatoes.

  4. Add tomatoes with all their juice.

  5. Simmer till enough of the juice is reduced so that the mixture is not soggy.
