Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Toasts (Curves Protein 2)

1 Roma Tomato
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 dash Ground Black Pepper
1 dash Ground Basil
2 oz. French Bread
1/2 tsp. Garlic Cloves
1 tsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Tomato Toasts (Curves Protein 2)

  1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 450F.

  2. Slice tomato thin and place slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet or platter.

  3. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil.

  4. Let stand while making toasts and oil.

  5. In a mini food processor or blender, mince garlic cloves. Add oil; continue to process for about 30 seconds (for milder garlic flavor, brush breads with garlic oil before toasting).

  6. Cut bread into thin slices. Place bread slices on a large wire rack or racks;

  7. bake until golden brown, about 5 minutes. For more pungent flavor, brush breads with garlic oil after toasting. To serve, arrange breads on a large platter

  8. and top each with a tomato slice.
