A very easy to make, semi-homemade tomato and spices consume soup. The soup is thick and filling enough to be a main dish. All the ingredients are organic. The sun-dried tomatoes used are home-grown, organic roma or costoluto genovese heirloom tomatoes and seasoned with thyme, basil, sea salt, black pepper. The use of these strong flavored/seasoned sun-dried tomatoes is key.

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato and Spices Consume soup


Ingredients:
4 cloves of Garlic
1/2 Potato
1 cup Organic Free Range Chicken Broth
25 g Lundberg Brown Rice Pasta Penne
1 pinch of black pepper
1 tsp. dry thyme
1 tsp. dry basil
30 pieces Sun Dried Tomatoes with sea salt, basil, thyme and black pepper
2 cups Pacific Natural Food Organic Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup
1 oz. Aged Asiago cheese

Recipe Directions for Tomato and Spices Consume soup

  1. Slice garlic cloves.

  2. Dice the potato.

  3. In a pot over a medium flame heat the chicken broth and garlic.

  4. Once the broth is slightly warm add the potato and penne.

  5. Add 25 pieces of the dried tomato

  6. Stir occasionally until broth begins to boil.

  7. Add 1/2 cup of the roasted red pepper and tomato soup.

  8. Keep stirring until it begins to boil again. Then, add the remaining roasted red pepper and tomato soup.

  9. Serve and top with remaining dried tomatoes and asiago cheese.
