Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Soup

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup chopped carrot
1/4 cup chopped celery
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
1 3/4 cups vegetable broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Recipe Directions for Tomato Soup

  1. Do up the oil, onions and garlic (minced) in a pot over medium

  2. Add really finely chopped celery and carrots and cook them until tender about 8-10 minutes

  3. Add the rest of the stuff and simmer (covered) for 20+ minutes
