Tomato Sauce Recipe

Use one third as a pizza topping, use the rest to dress pasta for two

Recipe Ingredients for tomato sauce

100 g onion
1 clove garlic
50 g celery
1 tbsp vegetable oil
100 g mushrooms
400 g canned tomatoes
1/2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp tomato puree

Recipe Directions for tomato sauce

  1. Microwave for three minutes chopped onion, celery and garlic in the oil. Add pinch of chilli flakes if desired

  2. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar and seasoning. Microwave on low for 10 minutes

  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook on high for three minutes
