A sunday tradition sauce. Great to cook meatballs in.

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Sauce

56 oz canned crushed tomatoes
28 oz canned plum tomatoes
1 cup onion
1/2 cup carrot
1/2 cup celery
1/4 cup garlic
1/4 cup red wine
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup basil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Tomato Sauce

Saute shredded carrots, celery, chopped garlic, and chopped garlic in olive oil with salt and pepper till translucent. Add red wine. Add all canned tomatoes. Add basil, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2-3 hours. The longer the better.
