Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Sauce

1 medium onion, chopped
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp butter
56 oz canned tomatoes
3 tsp minced garlic
1 medium zucchini
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper

Recipe Directions for Tomato Sauce

  1. Saute the onion in oil and butter. Add tomatoes, zucchini, and garlic. Cook 5 minutes.

  2. Using an immersion blender blend to smooth. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
