Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Sauce

3 lbs tomatoes
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp italian seasoning
1 small onion
1/5 cup red wine
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Tomato Sauce

  1. Clean fresh tomatoes, remove stems and any green parts

  2. Cut into quarters

  3. In large pot, heat oil and add garlic and onions. Do not burn!

  4. Add tomatoes and wine. Let it simmer and break down (ie: get juicy)

  5. Add seasoning and stirr well

  6. Cook till liquidy

  7. Remove from heat and puree with hand blender
