2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs vegetable oil
225 grams Italian sausage
66 grams mushroom
115 grams red bell pepper
6 cloves garlic
62 oz canned tomatoes, undrained
1 tsp Harissa
1/2 cup fresh basil
1 tbs oregano
1 tbs thyme
1 tbs black pepper
2 tbs crushed red pepper

Recipe Directions for Tomato sauce with Italian sausage (slow cooker)

  1. Cook onions in oil until transparent

  2. Brown sausages

  3. Put in slow cooker

  4. Add all the other ingredients

  5. Cook on low for 6 hours, then turn to high for final hour

  6. Serve over pasta or rice with a sprinkle of Parmesan or Romano cheese
