Delicious combination of fresh tomatoes, onions, and basil. Lightly topped with parmesan cheese and served in a flakey pastry crust.

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Pie

1 crust, single 9" Pie Crust, Standard-type
1 cup, chopped Onions
6 plum tomato Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
1/4 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh
0.33 cup Parmesan, Grated Cheese

Recipe Directions for Tomato Pie

  1. Place the pie crust in a 10 inch pie pan and bake for 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven until golden brown.

  2. Layer tomatoes, onions and basil in the crust and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese has browned.
