Sweet peas, frozen or fresh, cooked in an oily tomato sauce - traditional greek dish!

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Peas

400 g peas
1/2 cup olive oil
1 medium tomato
1 onion
1 tsp dill
1/2 cup lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Tomato Peas

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan.

  2. Chop onion and saute in heated olive oil until golden.

  3. Add lemon juice and dill.

  4. Puree tomato in food processor and add to saucepan.

  5. Add peas and cook in tomato sauce for about 20 minutes.

  6. Serve as a vegetarian main dish or accompanying to meat and starch meals.
