A healthier alternative to the cream version

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Pasta Carbonara

500 g Pasta
410 g Canned Mushrooms
500 g Traditional Pasta Sauce
250 g Diced Bacon
2 Eggs, lightly beaten
100 g Parmesan Cheese
500 g Frozen Veggies
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce

Recipe Directions for Tomato Pasta Carbonara

  1. Cook pasta according to directions

  2. Just before pasta is cooked, add frozen veggies & boil for a further 5mins

  3. Drain pasta & veggies & return to saucepan

  4. Add pasta sauce, mushrooms, diced bacon, eggs, cheese & bbq sauce to the pasta mix

  5. Mix well together & place over low heat until the mixture thickens, stirring frequently

  6. Salt & pepper to taste

  7. Serve & enjoy
