Makes about 8 1/2 Cup servings. Flavoured canned tomatoes can be used. Low fat yogurt can be used in place of cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato and Herb Cream Sauce

1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
2 clove Garlic
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
28 oz Tomatoes Diced
1.5 tsp, leaves Thyme, Dried
1 tsp Sugars, Granulated
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.5 cup Cream, Fluid, Half And Half

Recipe Directions for Tomato and Herb Cream Sauce

  1. Heat oil in large skillet, saute garlic and onions on low- do not brown.

  2. Add tomatoes, break up with fork, add thyme, sugar, salt- bring to a boil.

  3. SImmer, stir occasionally for 20-25 minutes. Stir in cream, heat through.
