Recipe Ingredients for Tomato and Garlic Rice and Lentils

1 cup dry lentils
1 cup long-grain rice
1 cup brown texmati rice
2 tbsps olive oil
2 tbsps garlic salt
2 tbsps curry powder
1 tbsp black pepper
6 oz tomato paste
5 1/2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Tomato and Garlic Rice and Lentils

  1. Heat large frying pan.

  2. Heat oil.

  3. Add all seasonings to the oil, except the tomato paste.

  4. Add lentils and rice, heating until rice grains are translucent.

  5. Add tomato paste, making sure that is permeates the rice.

  6. Add water, lower heat to simmer, stirring occasionally for 45 minutes.
