Filling, very easy meal for cold winter days when you can't be bothered with anything more elaborate. Note sodium though.

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato and Chickpeas

4.5 serving Tomatoes, Crushed, Canned
2 Can Chick Peas
1 small Onions
1 serving Olive Oil
1 tsp Chili Powder

Recipe Directions for Tomato and Chickpeas

  1. Slice or dice onion, sautee in olive oil until brown.

  2. Drain chickpeas and add chickpeas and tomato to pan. Simmer on medium heat for a few minutes- shouldn't take long.

  3. Add chili powder, chili flakes, paprika or anything else to give it a little "kick." Continue to simmer until ready to serve.

  4. Serve on its own, with wholebread toast, or over rice.
