Recipe Ingredients for Tomato Basil Soup

10 cups tomatoes
12 fresh basil leaves
1 cup heavy cream
1 Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
4 cloves garlic
6 cups spinach

Recipe Directions for Tomato Basil Soup

  1. Simmer tomatoes in saucepan for 30 minutes.

  2. Purée, with the basil leaves, spinach and garlic in small batches, in blender or food processor.

  3. Return to saucepan and add cream, butter, salt and pepper while stirring over low heat.

  4. Garnish with basil leaves.
