Recipe Ingredients for Tomato-Basil Sauce

2 tsp olive oil
28 oz. diced tomatoes
4 oz. fresh Parmesan, grated
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 black pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for Tomato-Basil Sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in 4-qt. saucepan.

  2. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt, sugar, garlic, and pepper.

  3. Bring to boil and reduce to simmer for 1/2 hour.

  4. Stir in Parmesan and serve over pasta of choice.
