Recipe Ingredients for tomato,basil,corn soup

8 tomatoes,peeled,dieced
28 oz crushed tomatoes
2 cups water,spring
1 cup onion,finely diced
4 ears of corn
1 jalapeno pepper
1 cup basil,fresh,diced fine
4 cloves garlic,minced
1/8 t kosher salt
1/2 t white pepper
1 t olive oil
1 t sugar

Recipe Directions for tomato,basil,corn soup

microwave corn in husk for 3 minutes allow to cool.doing day before is ok.saute onion and jalapeno in oil till it starts to brown.add garlic,saute for 1 minute more.add diced tomatoes,cook until they give up their juices.add crushed tomatoes and water.add salt,sugar and pepper.cut corn off of cob and add to tomatoes.Heat through.add basil and heat.
