Use fresh tomatoes and canadian bacon or lean ham

Recipe Ingredients for Tomato-Bacon Pie

216 grams pie shell
5 medium tomatoes
1/2 pound mozzarella cheese , grated
4 large eggs
10 ounces Canadian Bacon
1/2 cup lowfat milk
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Tomato-Bacon Pie

slice tomatoes, grated cheese layer tomatoes cheese and bacon. Pour eggs and milk mixture over. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with fresh basil on top before baking. Bake at 459 degrees 15 minutes, then decrease oven to 325 degrees for 40 minutes until center is firm. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
