Recipe Ingredients for Tofu Sloppy Joes

1 cup, chopped Onions
1 clove Garlic
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
5 serving Orgnaic Nasoya Firm Tofu 5 Servings = 14oz
3.5 serving Del Monte Diced Tomatoes - 3.5 Servings in Can
6 oz Tomato Paste
1 tsp Spices Ground Coriander
1 serving Ground Cumin
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 tsp Domino Dark Brown Sugar
1 tsp Salt, Table
0.1 grams Cayenne

Recipe Directions for Tofu Sloppy Joes

  1. In a large nonreactive pan, saute 1 cup onions & 1 garlic clove in oil on medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes. Add 1 cup chopped bell peppers and cood an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in 14 oz firm tofu, 14 oz can diced tomatoes (1 3/4 cup fresh), 6 oz tomato paste, 1/2 cup water, 1 tsp of coriander, cumin, oregano, brown sugar & salt, a pinch of cayenne and simmer for 10 minutes. Add black pepper to taste.

  2. Fill each roll with about 1/2 cup of mix.
