Recipe Ingredients for Tofu Cream Cheese

1 c tofu
1/4 c cashews
1 T water or soy milk
2 t maple syrup
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper

Recipe Directions for Tofu Cream Cheese

  1. Drain the tofu, wrap in towel, and squeeze out excess moisture.

  2. Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth, 1-2 minutes. Taste and adjust: add more tofu/water for a thicker/thinner consistency; more sweetener/dash of lemon lemon for sweeter/less sweet flavor.

  3. Transfer to container, cover, and - for best flavor - refrigerate overnight. Use within 4-7 days.
