corncakes from King Arthur Flour

Recipe Ingredients for Toasty Corncakes

1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
2 1/4 tsps baking powder
3/4 tsps salt
1/3 cup sugar
3 large eggs
2/3 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted

Recipe Directions for Toasty Corncakes

  1. Preheat oven o 350.

  2. Grease 9" by 13" pan

  3. Mix dry ingredients together

  4. In separate bowl, mix wet ingredients

  5. Add wet mixture to dry.

  6. Mix until just combined. Do not over beat.

  7. Pour batter into pan

  8. Bake 20 -25 minutes until edges just start to brown.

  9. Remove fom oven and let cool/

  10. Cut into 3" X 4/1/2" rectangels
