Recipe Ingredients for Toasted Almond Granola

4 cups old fashioned oats
10 g Almonds Slivered
1 cup Almonds Whole Raw
1/2 cup Coconut
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Toasted Almond Granola

  1. Place oven rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 325 degrees F. Spray one large baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.

  2. Whisk together oats, slivered almonds, whole almonds, sweetened coconut, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a medium saucepan, melt together butter, oil, honey and brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to boil. Carefully whisk together so it's well incorporated. Add the vanilla extract. Pour the warm mixture over the oat and almond mixture and toss together, ensuring that the oats are covered by the sugar mixture.

  4. Spread mixture onto prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, removing the oats to stir and toss on the pan after the first 10 mintues.

  5. Remove from oven, let cool and store in an airtight container for up to four weeks (if it lasts that long).
