Recipe Ingredients for Toad in a Hole

115 grams 2% milk
115 grams flour
2 eggs
8 Sausage

Recipe Directions for Toad in a Hole

  1. Preheat oven at 230C

  2. Heat the oil in an ovenproof dish for approx 5 minutes. Add the sausages and cook for 10 minutes.

  3. Whilst the sausages are cooking, make the batter.

  4. Put the flour in a bowl and make a small dent in the flour, add the eggs to the centre of the bowl and mix in the flour.

  5. When you can no longer mix in any more flour, add the milk a small amount at a time and work in the flour.

  6. When you have your batter, it should be the consistency of double cream, add it to the sausages in the ovenproof dish and cook for a further 30 minutes.
