part pormodoro, part mushroom and asparagus, all yum

Recipe Ingredients for tjcm's mixed up pasta

2 cloves Garlic minced
1 lbs. tomatoes, plum; seed diced (I use cherry tomatos, cut into quarters, seeds discarded)
2 oz. basil, fresh, leaves minced
1/4 c. olive oil
3 oz. Parmesan cheese
8 oz. pasta, cooked
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1 lbs. asparagus
1/2 lbs. portabella mushrooms,sliced

Recipe Directions for tjcm's mixed up pasta

  1. break asparagus into 1" peices, boil with noodles

  2. while this is going, heat garlic in oil until white (cooked but not brown)

  3. toss in tomatoes and pepper

  4. cook until hot but don't let them loose their shape/peels.

  5. About now, pasta shouldbe done, drain it.

  6. In a serving bowl, toss pasta with tomato mixture, 1/2 of parm, and basil.

  7. serve hot with remaining parm.
