dessert note: I double recipe on one package of mascarpone. Also the ladyfingers I use are 310 cal / package (use 2 = 24 ladyfingers) so I've adjusted this recipe to be more accurate since the DB has a different kind of ladyfinger.

Recipe Ingredients for Tiramisu

1 cup sugar
6 eggs
16 oz mascarpone cheese
4 tbsp Kahlua
1 cup coffee
14 ladyfingers
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Recipe Directions for Tiramisu

  1. beat egg yolks, sugar, 2T coffee and Kahlua 2-3 min, then add mascarpone and beat 4-5 min (smooth).

  2. beat egg whites to stiff peaks, fold into mascarpone mixture.

  3. dip ladyfingers in espresso layer in dish, followed by cheese mix, then sift cocoa powder over top.

  4. repeat layers two more times, finishing with cocoa sifting on top.

  5. refrigerate 1+ hrs.
