Recipe Ingredients for Tilapia with Lump Crab

1 1/2 pounds tilapia fillets
6 oz crabmeat, lump
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup onion, vidallia, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
9 crackers, ritz, crushed
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup light mayonaise
1 tbsp parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp old bay seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp parsley, dried
2 tbsp parmesan cheese
2 tbsp bread crumbs

Recipe Directions for Tilapia with Lump Crab

  1. preheat oven 400*. rinse fillets and pat dry with paper towels

  2. saute onion and garlic in 1 tbsp butter until tender

  3. combine crab meat, ritz crackers, dry mustard, worcestershire, mayo, 1 tbsp parm cheese, salt, pepper, old bay seasoning, garlic powder and sauted onion & garlic.

  4. rub fillets with salt pepper and old bay seasoning. brush with melted butter. place in lightly greased, shallow baking dish. spoon crab mixture over fillets and drizzle with remaining melted butter.

  5. bake at 400* for 15 min.

  6. remove fish from oven and sprinkle with parsley, parm cheese and bread crumbs.

  7. increase oven temp to 450* and bake for additional 6 min.
