Recipe Ingredients for Tilapia and almonds

1 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1/2 t garlic powder
1/8 cup almonds
1/8 cup Parmesan cheese
12 ounce tilapia fillets
2 T all-purpose flour
1 t butter
1 salt

Recipe Directions for Tilapia and almonds

  1. Beat the eggs with the lemon pepper and garlic powder until blended; set aside.

  2. Stir together ground almonds with half the Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish until combined; set aside.

  3. Dust the tilapia fillets with flour, and shake off excess.

  4. Dip the tilapia in egg, then press into the almond mixture.

  5. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  6. Cook tilapia in melted butter until golden brown on both sides, 2 to 3 minutes per side.

  7. Reduce heat to medium, and season fillets with salt if desired.

  8. Sprinkle the tilapia with the remaining Parmesan cheese, cover, and continue cooking until the Parmesan cheese has melted, about 5 minutes.

  9. Transfer the tilapia to a serving dish, and garnish.
