Full of super-healthy ingredients. I love the texture the yeast gives it.

Recipe Ingredients for Three Grain Yeast Waffles

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup oats
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup nonfat dry milk
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. water
2 eggs
3 tbs. oil
3 tbs. honey

Recipe Directions for Three Grain Yeast Waffles

  1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add water, eggs, oil and honey. Beat on medium speed for 1 minute. Cover loosely. Chill overnight.

  2. Stir. cook in greased waffle iron. Close lid quickly, do not open during baking.

  3. I like to top these with applesauce or slightly mashed thawed frozen strawberries.

  4. Makes 16 4-inch waffles.
