Hearty Chili, good for cold autumn days, easy to make

Recipe Ingredients for Three Bean Chili

15 oz kidney beans
15 oz red beans
15 oz black beans
10 1/2 oz low sodium chicken broth
1 onion
2 tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp cilantro
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano

Recipe Directions for Three Bean Chili

  1. Add 1/4 cup chicken broth to large pot or Dutch oven

  2. Add chopped onion and garlic

  3. Let boil for 5 minutes

  4. Add all rest of ingredients EXCEPT beans, bring to boil

  5. Then turn dow low and let simmer with pot covered for 30 minutes, stir once in awhile

  6. Add beans - unrinsed, bring to boil once again

  7. Turn down heat, cover, and let simmmer apporx 20 minutes or until desired consistency
