Fast and LOTS of flavor! Hih fiber and high protein. Great served over 1/2 cup of brown rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Thick & Spicy Black Bean Soup, Low-Cal, Low-Fat

40 grams yellow onion, diced
65 grams baby carrots, diced
1/2 tsp garlic, minced
130 grams canned black beans, well rinsed
61 grams tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cumin
1 pinch red cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Thick & Spicy Black Bean Soup, Low-Cal, Low-Fat

Saute the onions and carrots for 3 minutes. Add garlic and saute 1 more minute. Add remainder and simmer 10 minutes. Serve now if you like it chunky. For a creamier texture - Remove half and puree - return to pot and simmer until warmed through.
