Recipe Ingredients for Thick Applesauce

6 large granny smith apples
1/2 c water
1/2 c sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. lemon zest
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Thick Applesauce

  1. Place apples and water in large pot. Bring to boil, lower heat, and simmer about 10 minutes or until apples are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook an additional minute.

  2. Makes ten 1/2-cup servings.
