A very easy sage-y Dressing recipe. Passed down from my grandmother

Recipe Ingredients for Thanksgiving Dressing

15 slices whole wheat bread
2 oz olive oil
2 tbls butter
1 onion
4 celery stalks
3 tbls dried sage
1 garlic clove
16 oz low sodium chicken broth

Recipe Directions for Thanksgiving Dressing

  1. Lay out the slices of bread on a cooling rack over night to dry.

  2. Cut bread into bitesized pieces. Finely chop onions and celery, and mince garlic.

  3. In large skillet sautee the onions, garlic and celery in oil and butter, about 5-7 minutes until soft and translucent Mix in sage and cook for another minute. Put in large bowl. Mix in dried bread, and slowly add the chicken broth until all the bread in wet, but not soggy.

  4. Bake uncovered in a 425degree oven for 45 minutes
